Dr. Bobby R. Sledge is the founder and pastor of Victory World Outreach Ministries. His life is completely planted in the ministry, and to separate this man from the ministry that God has given him is quite impossible. After acknowledging his call to preach in 1979, Pastor Sledge received intense and personal training from the late Superintendent Dave Draper, Sr., who was legendary in the southeast and in the nation for his uncompromising and systematic approach to the gospel and the level of excellence he demanded from his spiritual sons. With a testimony of deliverance and restoration, Pastor Sledge, heard and responded to the pastoral call in 1987, establishing the Victory Church of God in Christ.

His walk from then on would be one of faith – transitioning the ministry (even changing its name) and his life as the Spirit of God dictated. Sledge’s success has been grounded in his obedience and willingness to follow the voice of God. The voice of God led Pastor Sledge to publish his first book, Now Faith Is… A New Way to Walk! as well as several successful audio series. Pastor Sledge served the Huntsville District Church of God in Christ as District President of Evangelism and District Secretary of the Elders’ Council. He has also served as State Secretary of the Elders’ Council and Coordinator of the Men’s Conference and presently serves at the President of Missions for the Alabama First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ. He currently serves as the State President for the Missions’ Department and was appointed on May 1, 2021, as Superintendent of the William Ross Morrow Heritage District. 

He is also the founder of a personal ministry, Mantle Ministries International Fellowship which enables him to serve as a spiritual mentor for Ministers and established ministries. His humble spirit and charismatic personality enable him to reach a diverse demographic area and see lives changed by the power of God. His dynamic teaching style and creative didactic methods have placed him in high demand across the width and breadth of our country and abroad – speaking in conferences, revivals, workshops and seminars. Dr. Sledge earned his Doctorate in Theology from the North Carolina  College of Theology in the spring of 2012.

Aside from ministerial pursuits, Pastor Sledge has served his country as a soldier in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged from the service. As an employee of Advanced Systems Division of United Technologies, he was responsible for various tool designs changes and modifications in support of the space program. Pastor Sledge has served the Madison County Commission as a trainer and mentor for the coalition on At-Risk Minority Males. He has served as Curriculum Facilitator in Huntsville City and Madison County Schools.

Pastor Sledge has a passion for God and for the ministry. He has a burden to reach the lost for Christ and meet the needs of the total man. His vision is one of Kingdom Ministry and not merely church work. He is anointed to operate in the five-fold ministry. Pastor Sledge is committed to providing five-star ministry in a spirit of excellence unto the Glory of God.

Despite his many accolades and accomplishments, the greatest one is being a devoted husband to Mrs. Amosene Sledge, father to his three children, Christopher, Candace and Derrell, and grandfather to Caleb, Dylan, Alexander, Amiyah, Christopher Jr., Autumn, Cali, Chloe, and Adonis.
